Hushbreath includes narration and soundscapes in the app, so they can play without an internet connection. A little preparation helps you separate a playback problem from an installation, access or headphone problem. Use this checklist earlier in the day rather than turning your evening into a troubleshooting session.
Install and arrange access beforehand
Make sure Hushbreath is installed on the device you plan to use. Complete an installation or update while you have a connection. If you need to buy access or restore an eligible earlier purchase, do that before relying on offline playback and check that the intended ritual is available. Offline audio describes how the included recordings play; it is not a promise that downloading the app or every purchase-related action works without a connection.
Understand the free session
The public listing offers one complete five-minute Sigh of relief session once, without a card or subscription. Further sessions require paid access through a monthly or annual subscription or a lifetime purchase. There is no subscription free trial. Do not plan an unrestricted offline library around the one free session. Review the current offer in the app and remember that a lifetime purchase does not automatically cancel an existing subscription.
Choose your listening setup
In Settings, choose the language and voice you want to hear. The public listing confirms English, Polish, German, French and Spanish. Select your preferred background or voice-only listening and check the separate voice and background volume controls. Use the speaker or headphones you intend to use later; hearing sound from the wrong device can look like a playback failure.
Make one short playback check
Start an available ritual and confirm that you hear it. Lock the screen to check the way you plan to listen: the public listing confirms playback with the screen locked. If you want to check offline use, briefly disconnect the device from internet access yourself and try the same available audio. You do not need to finish a ritual just to check the sound. Pause when you have confirmed the setup.
If you cannot hear anything
First check media volume, the voice/background controls and the selected audio output. If headphones disconnect, Hushbreath support says playback pauses; reconnect and resume. Avoid repeatedly reinstalling the app as a first response, especially when offline. If the problem remains, reconnect later and contact support with the device model, iOS version, app version and a short description of what happened. Do not include payment-card or sensitive health details.
Keep the check practical
The goal is to know that your chosen audio is available and audible, not to complete a challenge or guarantee sleep. You can stop a ritual whenever you want. The optional microphone experiment is not needed for the prerecorded rituals and does not adapt the guided rhythm. Once your setup is ready, put the troubleshooting aside.
